ABOUT EXEDE
Exede Internet provides speeds of up to 12 Mbps downstream service and 3 Mbps upstream to consumers across the U.S. More than 80 percent of the population of the U.S. lives in areas covered by the ViaSat-1 satellite, which powers Exede12 service. Flexible service plans vary by data allowance, with a usage meter that enables customers to track their data usage to better manage their accounts. The plans include a Late Night Free Zone from 12 midnight to 5 a.m. Exede service is also available bundled with DIRECTV. Standard installation is provided free of charge by a network of certified installers.
In other areas of the country, Exede5 provides 5 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload speeds.
Exede Enterprise Satellite Service provides emergency service organizations with satellite-based services for disaster response. The service can provide download speeds of up to 15 Mbps, with a variety of choices for terminal configuration, including fixed, vehicular and fly-away. The American Red Cross Disaster Services has selected the service for its disaster response.
Exede Satellite News Gathering enables television news teams to transmit high-definition video from almost any location. The equipment is compact and portable and can be used to transmit breaking news from just about anywhere in the U.S.
Exede In-Flight Internet, capable of delivering 12 Mpbs or more to each connected passenger, launched in 2013. The system provides a far better experience than in-flight Wi-Fi services previously available. ViaSat, along with partner LiveTV, launched the service on JetBlue in 2013. The service will provide in-flight Internet to nearly 400 aircraft on JetBlue and other U.S. carriers by the end of 2015.
Exede Voice provides Exede Internet customers with unlimited home phone service in the 50 United States — plus Canada for a highly competitive flat rate, with popular calling features and an Exede Voice Adapter included. International calling plans are also available. The calling service has been optimized for the Exede network, which means higher call quality than traditional VOIP services. With the introduction of Exede Voice, double-play bundles with Internet/phone service and triple play bundles with Internet/phone/TV are now available.

HOW IT WORKS:

-
- You’re on your laptop or tablet and you click on your favorite website. The signal goes to your Exede modem (or through your router first if you have one), then through a short cable to the dish outside your home.
The signal is beamed up to our satellite — presto! - The satellite beams the signal down to one of our large antennas on the ground.
- The antenna delivers the signal to the main internet.
